Magpie sculpture carved in Soapstone.
Though not everyone's favourite bird I find them handsome. Clever too. I've seen a pair locally prance and posture, almost as if in play. Perhaps they were bickering.
Whatever the story, this flamboyance - of tail up strut - was something I wanted to capture in this carving.
