Little Bird - Hawfinch
In the ancient woodland along the banks of the River Rye locally there are Hawfinch. I've never seen one, but I'd like to. The Hawfinch is the largest of the UK's Finches and has a massive, powerful bill for feeding on seeds, buds and shoots. It is a shy bird and difficult to spot.
This small sculpture of a Hawfinch is carved in Yorkstone, suitable for garden or indoors.
